Vision Statement: UNITY in Our CommUNITY – Together WE will Achieve Optimal Health and Prevent Teen Pregnancy
The KCCFN consist of schools, community and faith based organizations, that work closely with parents and other caring adults (e.g., caregivers) to support their goals and future plans for their teen(s). One of most important functions of a parent or caring adult is being the first educator and the strongest advocate for “Future Leaders.” This important assignment requires the caring community to engage and encourage each other.
Parents and caring adults will share in learning about the benefits of positive youth development, participate in prevention and intervention activities related to teen pregnancy, drugs, alcohol, tobacco use, and violence prevention, effective parent-child communication skills, know how to implement the promising practices for increased involvement in your student’s education and future career preparation.
